After exploring Montreal's techno and house sounds (with Vol.1 and Vol.2, TIGA and LAFLþCHE), Turbo has decided to take a look at Montreal's strong Drum N' Bass roots... and there is one place to look... Dune, since the inception of the electronic music scene in Montreal, Double A & Twist (the two djs who make up the Dune production team) have been fixtures. They have played early warehouse parties in 94' and held long-standing residencies. They were among the first Canadian djs to establish strong international links, and were among the first electronic producers in Montreal to release records in Europe. Dune's CV reads like a history of Drum N' Bass in Montreal, and it is only fitting that they continue the Montreal Mix Sessions saga. Dune have completed thirteen of the finest Drum N' Bass tracks from the past few years, including three of their own tracks, to make a timeless D&B mix, that seamlessly travels the full spectrum of the genre.
