Turbo Recordings started off with the simple goal of bringing Montreal's talented djs and producers to a global audience. Naturally, we started in-house, with Tiga (Turbo A&R) mixing the first Montreal Mix Sessions. The success of that first project set the agenda for the future releases-and we quickly followed with Montreal Mix Sessions Vol.2 DJ Lafloche. One thing both these cd's had in common were tracks by a young Swedish producer by the name of Jesper DahlbØck. So, we thought it only fitting that the first of the new International Series should be compiled and mixed by someone who had played a role in Turbo's past and development. The Stockholm Mix Sessions are the first in a new series that will showcase new artists and djs from around the world-artists that have a link to Montreal, or have contributed to Montreal's collective musical heritage, as part of the new Swedish revolution of artists and producers, Jesper DahlbØck (who has recorded as the Persuader and DJ Lenk) has pioneered his own unique sound: an electic mix of futuristic house that defines genre.
