Turbo Recordings...SONA...was born in Feb 96 as a joint effort between local DJs, designers and promoters to give Montreal's thriving party scene a permanent home- a fusion between the creative energy of the raves and the benefits of the housier nightclubs. The plan worked, and almost three years later SONA has become the largest club of its kind in Montreal (and one of the largest in North America), with a world class soundsystem, lighting system, and a long list of live performances and international guest DJs. Clubbers can hear Montreal's strong house roots at "Tease" on Saturday nights, and experience the energy of the techno inspired "Pure Techno Silver Fridays". Montreal Mix Sessions V2 showcases the sound of Saturday nights at SONA, a sound that has been crafted and defined by DJ Laflœche over the past two years. Laflœche's hard, driving house sound has rocked dancefloors from Toronto to Tunisia- building his reputation as one of the premiere house DJs around. Laflœche's sets never disappoint, and Turbo Recordings is proud to have the second Montreal Mix Sessions bear his name, and his sound.
