Christophe 'Daze' Dasen, aka Plastique de Rêve
Electronic musician, producer, deejay and artist from Geneva, Sweetzerland.

Born May 28th 1970 in Canberra, Australia, started learning music at the age of six, electronic music since 1984.

Fascinated by electronic, synthetic sound, since his early childhood. Has experimented with electronic sound across the 80s and 90s with many different projects (live gigs, deejaying, installations, performances, theatre, film, plastic arts, etc) and in different styles (electro-acoustic, contemporary, ambient, experimental, electro, ebm, techno, acid, punk, new wave, techno-pop, etc). Studied electro-acoustics and musical technology in various music and art schools, but mostly by himself. Started deejaying in 1997, after many years of being involved mainly in producing music and appearing as a live performance artist.

Lives between Geneva and Berlin, working on different artistic projects, releasing music on Dj Hell's label International Deejay Gigolos, in Münich, and labels Mental Groove and Viking Music in Geneva, as well as other international labels (such as DJ Tiga's Turbo Recordings in Montreal, WMF Rec and Inzest in Berlin, 7B Records and Spezial Material in Zürich, David Carretta's new label Space Factory Disques in Marseille, etc).

Performs live or deejays, in solo (Daze, Plastique de Rêve, The Original Bruno Clone) or collective projects (Sound Of The System, Euro Mongo All Stars, Database Transmission, Bali Bioskop, Baron Samedi)

Conceives and realises installations and urban interventions for contemporary art exhibitions (2X2L, Consumer Caddie, Tactile, Sound Of The System)

Works in collaboration with many other electronic music artists (sWater Lilly, Crowdpleaser, Luluxpo, Sheikh Djerbouti, Mitte Karaoke, Lemercier …)

And organizes or collaborates to the setting up of underground parties in Geneva, Zürich, Münich, Berlin, featuring local and international artists and friends (such as Zombie Nation, Steril / Latex, David Carretta, I-F, Mooner / Club Le Bomb, Waldorf, Märtini Brös, Electronicat, Orgue Electronique, etc)

Co-founder of Internet radio www.basic.ch, the first in Switzerland to broadcast exclusively on the Internet. Since 1998, hosts an electronic music show with local and international guests (http://www.basic.ch, 1st wednesdays of the month at 8pm GMT+1, 24/7 online archives, more than a 100 shows).

Plastique De Rêve live acts change every time, depending on whims and experiments of the moment, fueling in many aspects of the last 20 years in electronic music into a cool blend of present day dancefloor electro-techno. Latest works tend towards establishing a particular style or sound, best defined as some kind of electro – hip hop – acid, with an experimental, soundfreak’s touch.

Dj sets rock with peak-time party electro-techno, with clever incursions into various other styles and eclectic influences (experimental, ebm, acid, acid house, detroit and european club techno, old school hip hop / breakdance, ragga / dancehall, electronic disco, electro-pop, italo-disco etc), spiked with gems from his wide-range 20 years collection of weird electronic dance music records.
