back home...

From the JMK warehouse days to the '98 raves, Kenny has been educating, pleasing, and teasing the most cued up crowd. JMK was a trio DJ act that made its roots in the underground, the illegal warehouse scene of the early house music days in Toronto. Jeremy, Mike, and Kenny hosted warehouse parties called 'Family Tree Parties' that took place with as little as two hours to two weeks promotion. The trio played back to back all night, alongside guests such as Roger Sanchez, Teddy Douglas, Peter & Tyrone, Nick Holder, and DJ Disciple. The warehouse scene flourished and JMK soon had a loyal following of five to eight hundred die-hard all night partygoers. This continued until the demise of JMK in the fall of '94, thus ending the era of Family Tree Parties. Kenny began to play smaller raves, and it was here that he was truly able to perfect the style he has adopted as his own: minimal, harder, but always funky. In early '96 Kenny's sound earned him numerous guest spots at the Industry nightclub. Partnership with his long time friend Mario J lead Kenny to the studio once again, where much time was spent making tracks that reflected his ability to 'put the funk' into any dance floor.
