Aaron Siegner and Oliver Sasse have been DJing under the name Double A & Twist since 1992. In an effort to develop a drum and bass scene in a predominantly house oriented city, they began throwing events, importing names such as Grooverider, DJ Rap, DJ Phantasy, LTJ Bukem, Kemistry & Storm, and Bryan G. Having quickly established themselves in and around Montreal, they earned a two-year residency at legendary afterhours club Sona, as well as playing coast to coast in North America. In recent years the pair have developed two of the most consistent weekly drum and bass nights in the country (Easy Tuesdays / Wednesday Sessions).

In 1994, they assembled a modest studio and began producing under the name Dune. One year later they signed their first track, "Border Patrol", to New York based Sm:)e Records. Their first UK 12", "The Blade/Imported" on the highly respected Basement Records, exploded onto the scene in 1996, drawing excellent reviews in magazines such as DJ, Eternity, Muzik, Jockey Slut, URB, and MixMag. Due to the overwhelming response, a second release entitled "Pentagon City/Keep On" soon followed on Basement. In December 1997, "Pentagon City" was remixed and re-released on Thrive Records, L.A. More recently, the two have released the first single on Breakbeat Science N.Y. entitled "Vertical Drop/Contact". The Breakbeat Science single received "Essential Tune of the Month" in a February, 1999 issue of MixMag Update. Their latest remix project was of Gus Gus - "VIP" on Warner Bros, which also received excellent international reviews.

Their current focus is on their own label, Dune Recordings. The first title "Midnight Run/Wireless" has gotten extensive exposure by the likes of Blame, Kemistry and Storm, Grooverider, Fabio, and has made appearances on the Friday night Radio One shows. The single has also received excellent reviews in Muzik, MixMag, and various North American publications. The second release features a Source Direct remix of "Midnight Run" and a Dune track entitled "Bit Mapping". Dune 003 is a track entitled "Serpico" by Jason Mouse of San Francisco along with a Dune remix on the flipside.

In its first year, Dune Recordings has become a household name in the drum and bass industry. We are currently on our fourth release, a four track EP entitled "Surface to Air", which features two newly signed artists, Signal to Noise (Mtl) and Atlantiq (SF). In order to further increase our profile, we intend to release one single per month until November 2000, at which time we will be geared up to put out our first full length album (on CD and vinyl format). Other plans for this year include a mix CD project that features our own artists as well as UK DJ's.
